⌚ Take Control of Your Workout from Your Wrist
Up till now, the Apple Watch app was great for checking your heart rate, calories burned and to quickly refer to your workout on the go. But it mostly played a passive, supporting role.
With this update, your Apple Watch can now become an active control center for your workout. Here’s what you can do with the new, fully revamped experience:

Rest timers: Start, edit, or cancel rest timers right on your wrist. They sync perfectly across your devices, so you’re always on track.

Manage your sets: Complete or make quick adjustments to your sets without breaking your training flow.

Exercise adjustments: Need to pivot? Easily add or remove exercises using our filters that are optimised for the small screen to quickly find the exercise you need

Total control: Handle set modifiers with automated actions, or cancel a workout on the fly if life gets in the way.

Sync on demand: Use the new manual sync trigger whenever you need an extra peace-of-mind update.
Best of all? We believe everyone should have a seamless training experience. Apple Watch sync is now completely free for every user.

The upcoming update will be a relatively small one, centering on performance boosts during active workouts and refining 1RM (One Rep Max) calculations for exercises using the "per side" weight toggle. While this might seem like a smaller "under the hood" patch, it actually marks a massive milestone: the core foundation of the app is officially complete.
For the past few months, the focus was to ensure you have total control over your data and workout logging. Now that the foundation is rock-solid, we are ready to move into a whole new era of training.
Up until now, we’ve focused on being the best tool for you to track your progress manually. Next, we’re teaching the app to help you grow. We are shifting our focus toward intelligent features that take the guesswork out of your gym sessions, some examples include but are not limited to the following:

Progression Programming: Dynamic targets that tell you exactly when it's time to add more weight or reps.

Routine Generation: Smart tools to help you build effective workouts tailored to your goals in seconds.
But before we start focusing on these "smarter" features, there will be a major design overhaul of the app, so that the interface can be as powerful as the features inside it. This redesign isn't just about aesthetics; it’s about making sure the app stays intuitive and clutter-free as we add more advanced capabilities.
